Bonus Story – Stand Tall
Bonus Stories are special features posted at the end of each month (depending on total pledges) and available to all patrons from the get-go. Bonus Stories are exclusive to my Patreon for the time being. While I may decide to release them publically in the future, as I do with the regular Saturday Stories, for now, this is how things go.

“Right… forgive me. You seem confused and with no clue about what’s going on, right? I can’t say I blame you because it was a really nasty situation through and through. There was a big accident. A truck ran into a bus, which hit a handful of other cars and you were unlucky enough to get caught in the middle of the mayhem. I’m afraid it’s not looking good right now but help is already on the way, okay? Until they get here, I need you to remain as calm as possible but, whatever you do, don’t fall asleep. Please, you need to stay with me.
“Yes, I know you’re in a lot of pain right now and that it’s easier to succumb to it than to stay alert but here’s the thing: if you fall asleep in this state, I’m not sure you’re ever waking up again and you’re too young to let go, so… find in you the strength you need to keep fighting until the professionals get here. I dare not try to release you from this prison of metal and glass, but I’m not leaving, I promise. I’m here with you and for you. I’m holding your right hand right now. Can you feel it?
