His Diet
Evelyn was perfect, the most beautiful woman Terence had ever seen. He was madly in love with her and would do anything to make her happy.
“I’m sorry, what?” Jack mumbled. “A week ago, you couldn’t stand her. What changed, bud?”
“His diet…” Evelyn thought. Drugging his food every day was working like a charm.
How this story came to be
I made an unofficial New Year’s Resolution to try something new every week. This applies to food and drinks. So far so good. Whenever I do my weekly shopping, I always choose something I’ve yet to taste whether it’s a sauce, a dessert, a juice, an exotic dish, etc, and then see what the fuss is all about. So far I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried. Whether that will remain forever, we’ll see, but it’s certainly an interesting challenge for 2023.
Anyway, today was not a day for experimenting with food. I ate pasta and the sauce came out a little spicy but it was still good. The idea for this one came to me as I was getting dinner ready. I took note of it on my phone and then made the necessary adjustments to fit the challenge’s word limit. I had to add words this time around which is still a rare occurrence. Sometimes, a little change is all it takes for a person to become someone else entirely. Terence will be devoted to Evelyn for the rest of his days. How about you?
