Gina’s Salad
Peter was getting visibly confused. The more he ate Gina’s Caesar salad the more scrambled his thoughts and sentences became.
“Feeling not good I’m,” he said.
“Everything will be better soon, pet,” she smirked.
“Something did me you do to?”
“Just having some fun with your mind. Eat your greens.”
“Must you obey I.”
“Always.”
How this story came to be
The thing I love most about Summer is eating salads whenever I have the chance. Today, I did just that. Not a Caesar one, mind you, but something more substantial with white beans, corn, tuna, red peppers, olives, carrots, and Feta cheese. It was delicious.
This piece came to me shortly after dinner. I thought about calling it Word Salad instead, but that’s not exactly what’s happening here. Hypnotic confusion can be a bitch, or so I’ve heard.
