Demonstration
Colin stared sheepishly at the blackboard. The problem before him was as easy as it could be and yet the solution eluded him.
“What’s taking you so long?” Gina asked. “It’s not rocket science. How much is two plus two?”
He gave it some more thought and then replied,
“Six. Two plus two equals six.”
“Are you sure about that?” Gina tapped her right foot.
“Yes.”
“Very well. You may take your seat. You’ll wake up when you do.”
Colin did as instructed under the watchful gaze of a puzzled audience.
“And that, my friends, is a simple example of hypnotic IQ reduction,” Gina concluded. “Who wants to be my next subject?”
A handful of people raised their hands. They would regret the demonstration sooner rather than later.
