You Already Did
Gregory was outraged.
“Not doing that!” he exclaimed.
“You already did…” Olivia replied.
“No! You’re responsible! The hypnosis…”
“… can’t make you do anything you don’t want to.”
“So that means…?”
“Yes.”
“No choice then,” he sighed.
He took the costume from her hands and got dressed again. He would be her fluffy cat for life.
How this story came to be
So… I’m not into costumes and by that I mean, I don’t like wearing them. I can appreciate others doing so and elaborate cosplay will always be appreciated by me because of all the hard work that goes into it, but I never had any interest in playing dress-up not even as a child. It’s just not for me.
This piece was a silly impromptu devised on my way home from work because I saw a little girl in a cat’s costume on the street. She was being accompanied by her parents and probably on her way to a party, I suppose. I used the costume as a starting point and this came to be. Unlike Gregory, I wouldn’t wear it not even in trance.
