The Picture
The picture hanging on Amanda’s wall was terrifying. Every time Curtis looked at it, the woman depicted there drew closer and closer to the frame, almost as if she was ready to leap out of it.
“Is this haunted or what?” he asked, averting his gaze.
“No. You’re simply too suggestible,” his hypnotist friend thought.
How this story came to be
Last weekend, I did some spring cleaning and found myself looking at some old pictures for a bit. In one of them, I thought I saw a ghostly shadow but it was just a water smudge. Still, the concept of haunted photographs is an intriguing. The same goes for hypnosis and perception so I combined all those elements to write down this one. What did you think?
