Oliver had been through some rough times, but the call of life was finally returning to his soul.
“Deeper and deeper, stronger than ever…” Samantha cooed. “No challenge is too great for you to overcome.”
Yes. Exactly! True power was his. Her hypnotic charms were just a trigger.
Eyes closed, he embraced the change within.
How this story came to be
Like Oliver, I too have been dealing with a lot of ups and downs recently – more on the downside of things because of my dog’s demise – but I’m also healing little by little. The black clouds will go away, eventually. I wanted to write something gentle today to remind me of just that and while the piece itself isn’t meant to be autobiographical, the parallels to my fluctuating states of mind can’t be denied. We keep fighting for brighter times, one day at a time.
