“Merry Christmas, Jack!” Dean said.
“What?”
“I said, Merry Christmas!”
“Huh? Is it that time already?”
“Well, duh! Why do you look so confused?”
“Sorry. Things have been blurry ever since Hannah started hypnotizing me. I keep forgetting things.”
“Ah, that explains it!”
“Explains what?”
“Why you answered the door naked, my friend.”
“Oh, fuck!”
How this story came to be
I’m on a Christmas break from Patreon stuff but I’m still going to update the site daily to wrap up another year of this writing challenge. The thing is, I almost forgot I had to do it, today.
This piece was improvised just now as I prepare to go to bed. It made sense to be another Christmas piece given the date but what if you don’t remember the date, your clothes, and your mind? Yeah, this happens.
