Stuck
The update was taking too long and Gina was getting impatient.
“This is annoying!” she said. “Why is it stuck at 51%?”
“Replacing all the files takes time, sweetie. Relax, your toy will be ready, soon,” Andrea retorted.
“I sure hope so…” Gina stared at the man trapped inside the ovoid brainwashing chamber and sighed.
How this story came to be
Two hours ago, my laptop got suck in an update for a while. Eventually, the situation resolved itself but it was still annoying having to wait for it. We’ve become impatient creatures with all these technological advancements. Back in the day of dial-up internet, for instance, we were okay waiting for five minutes or more for a site to load. Now, if takes longer than a second or two, we get grumpy.
Anyway, the failed update inspired this one. Brainwashing is a bitch, isn’t it?
