Spell… H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N 2026 – Day 2

Spell… H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N is back! Let’s enjoy another month of supernatural fun.

It’s time for a horrific dinner party. I’d tell you to have fun, but that’s not an option. Not for you, at least.

Dinner Invitation

Mary stood before the mirror, her fingers fumbling with the last button of her blouse. It was cold inside the bedroom as always, but even colder inside her mind. As she stared at the stress lines on her forehead, a low voice dripping with ancient malice made itself heard once more.

“Tell me, little vessel… did you invite your precious friends for dinner?”

Her heart hammered once, hard enough to bruise. “Y-yes,” she whispered, the word tearing at her throat. “Please… don’t hurt them. I’ll do anything—”

A sound like bones grinding into powder filled her mind. “Oh, I’m not going to touch them. *You* are – with your hands, and your pretty kitchen utensils. And I will savor every scream and wet gurgle that leaves their weakening bodies. I’ll be watching through *your* eyes… and loving every filthy second.”

Mary dropped to her knees, and tears streaked hot down her face. “No… please! Get out! Just get the fuck out for good!”

The demon chuckled, and the stench of rotting meat filled the panicking woman’s nostrils. “I’m right where I’m supposed to be, Mary. You’re mine and will do as I say.”

It seized her. Mary’s tears cut off mid-sob. Her back arched unnaturally and the color drained from her eyes until they were flat and black, windows into something starless and deep. Her mouth stretched into a grin that showed too many teeth.

The doorbell rang. Cheerful voices floated through the wood.

Mary, or the thing wearing her, walked barefoot to the kitchen, reached for the sharpest knife on the block, and ran a finger along its edge. A neat red line welled up. She brought it to her lips and sucked slowly, never breaking that terrible smile.

Then she turned toward the front door, knife held loose at her side, ready to greet her guests.
