Soda
Jonathan finished his soda and Megan immediately asked,
“Did you like it?”
“It tasted funny. What was the flavor again?”
“Melon.”
“You could have fooled me…” he burped. “Hmm, why is the world spinning?”
“The bottle rim was laced with hypnotics, dear. Enjoy your trance.”
His eyes went blank as he collapsed on the ground.
How this story came to be
If you’ve been keeping up with this challenge then you know that, this year, I decided to try something new every week. This includes food and drinks. I’m always on the lookout for something different and this time I tried Ramune, the famous Japanese soda for the first time. And yes, I went with the melon flavor because the other two that I found on sale were more traditional flavors (strawberry and blueberry) and I never had a melon soda before.
The taste was not what I expected but I liked it and opening that crazy bottle with the marble on top was certainly a different experience when it comes to soft drinks. The idea for this one came to me after my first taste.
