Regrets
Peter laid his cards on the table. Full House.
“I won?” he muttered.
“Yes,” Alicia grumbled.
“Then that means…”
“A bet is a bet. I’ll never hypnotize you again.”
“Oh wow! I… I never expected to… hmm…”
“Regretting it already?”
“Surprisingly, yes.”
“Excellent!” She snapped her fingers.
His clothes were the first thing to disappear.
How this story came to be
You can partially thank my cat for this one. He was jumping all over my bedroom today and knocked a few things off my bookshelves. Among them was an old card deck I’d forgotten I had. When the cards fell on the floor, he immediately grabbed one and ran to the living room with it. The idea to write a piece involving a card game came to me shortly after this humorous incident.
