Bill hated the new trend of posting videos of hypnotized family members online. It was stupid and he would never do anything like that.
And then, he saw a post of his. And another. And another.
“Oh, fuck!” he said.
“Tick-tock, brother,” Maggie said, smirking. “The audience is waiting.”
Mindlessly, he posed for the camera.
How this story came to be
We live in a world dominated by social media and all the networks are filled with strange fads and crazy challenges that once they get people going, are constantly being reproduced. If you look at many video content creators online, you’ll notice many of them will post the exact same scenario only with different players and people will consume it over and over again just to support their efforts.
I’m not much for trends myself so I wouldn’t follow them if I did that sort of content, but I wanted to play with the idea somehow, and this imaginary challenge came to me. Do you think it’s a good one or not?
