Left Behind
“I really like this house,” Annie said.
“That’s great,” the real estate agent said, “But we need to talk about the pets situation.”
“What situation?”
“The previous owner left some behind. They come with the property. Do you wish to see them?”
“Of course.”
Annie saw the three hypnotized men in the basement and fainted.
How this story came to be
I saw something that made my blood boil during my lunch break, today. It was a small dog, chained outside a house. I fucking hate seeing things like that. I don’t understand how there are people who don’t allow their dogs into the house and keep them trapped like this. It’s abuse and I can’t stand it. I’m going to check on the pup tomorrow and the days to follow. If I keep seeing him chained like that, I’ll be making an anonymous call to the proper authorities to deal with the situation.
Anyway, it was this unfortunate situation that made this idea flourish in my mind. Unfortunately, many people also leave their pets behind when they move to another place, so I took that concept and applied it to humans. In the end, this is darker than it seems at first level, but I’m no stranger to dark fantasies, so…
