It’s Gone
“Oh fuck!” Brandon exclaimed.
“What happened, dear?” Natalie asked.
“It’s gone!”
“What is?”
“The story I was going to show you.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, see? The word document is empty. I must have deleted it by accident.”
“Yes, you must have,” she cooed, staring at his blank eyes. He was so easy to manipulate.
How this story came to be
Fuck this week! First, there were internet issues at the beginning of the week and now this happens! By this I mean: I lost a story. It was a piece of flash fiction that I apparently didn’t save and now the original text is gone for good. I’ll need to recreate it but right now I’m tired and grumpy and not really in the mood for that. In fact, I won’t be posting anymore on the site tonight. I’m going to bed to get a good night’s sleep and clear my system so I can get things organized again as quickly as possible.
Today’s piece was inspired by this unfortunate accident but in this fictional tale the writer did so in response to a hypnotic suggestion, it seems. I don’t think anything like that would work on me though.
