Inside the Box
The wooden box rested atop the table. Jim looked at it and asked,
“What’s so special about it?”
“It’s a magic box,” Selene replied, opening the lid.
“Right… Magic isn’t real.”
“Keep looking, dear.”
He followed her lead, mind going blank.
“Why think outside the box when you can keep all thoughts inside?” she smirked.
How this story came to be
A little impromptu inspired by the expression “think outside the box”. That’s it.
