I Need Your Help (An Important Update, Free Downloads, and my Plans for 2026)

I’d rather not be typing this, but I might as well do it and rip off the band-aid once and for all.

Things are… tricky on my end, to say the least. I recently did the math, and I’m running a deficit to keep the site going. I need to make an additional $250 (minimum) before the end of November to make sure everything I’ve been working for in the last eight years doesn’t go down the drain. I never expected this to happen, and yet… The unfavorable currency exchange and the fact that some components that keep it running increased in price exponentially are making things harder. I’ve already started deploying alternatives but some things take time to implement, and time is running out.

This year has been bizarre for me. It started quite strong, but then it’s gone downhill ever since. I’ve had more downs than ups, including having to deal with some personal demons I thought were way behind me. Despite the troubling times, I think I’ve also created some of my best work, which is quite a paradox. Some days have been a struggle, but I’m still here, and I want to keep going.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to have people like you help bring my dreams to life. The patronage money I got not only kept the site going but also helped fund a new laptop and a pair of glasses to keep writing, a washing machine a few years back, and even pay my late dog’s vet bills. In return, I’ve always strived to create the best content possible. Not all of my creations were top-notch, but I’ve had way more hits and misses. I don’t want to stop now. If you want me to keep going as well, here’s what you can do:

1) Become a patron (even if for a month or two). You can also choose an annual membership at the lowest tier for a year’s worth of content, and I promise you won’t regret it.

2) Buy my books through my site’s store, Amazon, or Smashwords. I’ve got plenty to choose from, and more are coming until the end of the year.

3) Commission something. Whether it’s a sexy caption, an animation, a piece of flash fiction, or a short story, I’m sure I can work with whatever scenario you’re looking for. I’ll create a rigorous working queue to deliver your requests on time, and we’ll all have fun together.

If none of the options above are available to you, you can always help promote my work, whether by sharing this post or other works of mine wherever you see fit. I’ve always sucked at self-promoting because I prefer to use the time I have to create more and more. Creativity will always be what drives me.

Notice anything different? Yes, I want to write more stories. After wrapping up the One Year of Flash Fiction challenge, I’d like to give that form of writing a rest and focus on longer narratives, expanding old concepts, and creating newer ones every week. More stories will mean shorter waiting times and more opportunities to bring your fantasies to life. If there’s one thing that the daily flash fiction challenge has taught me, it is that many of these ideas deserve more, and I want more, too.

There may be a time when I stop writing and creating content – I’m not getting any younger, after all! – but that time is not here yet. When I stop, I want it to be of my volition and not because of other circumstances. My imagination is still going strong, but it needs a little help right now. I hope I can count on your support.
