Ruth’s DNA was changing. The mutation was taking over but she embraced it for the more she changed the more powerful she became.
“If I can get a blood sample, I may be able to reverse its effects…” Dr. Walters said.
“No!” she growled, eyes glowing yellow. No one would stop her ascension to godhood.
How this story came to be
I’m currently watching season 3 of The Orville. Today’s episode featured an alien species that rewrote DNA turning people into monsters. It had a bit of horror feel and reminded of other things I’ve seen in the past like Alien and some Star Trek episodes as well, but I liked it.
I decided to use the mutation idea for a piece of mine and this is what I ended up writing. Would you like for something like this to happen to you?
