Thomas stared vacantly at the pictures atop the mantle. None of them rang a bell.
“Are you sure?” Angela queried.
“Absolutely,” he replied. “I’ve never seen any of these people before.”
“Do you want to know who they are?”
“No. I have you. You’re more than enough.”
“Perfect,” the brainwasher smiled, his family forgotten forever.
How this story came to be
Simple evil brainwashing piece. No particular source of inspiration. I just wanted to write about a nasty controller today and this was the first idea that came to me. Have you ever been brainwashed before? If not, it’s a good day to start. You don’t need all your memories, right?
