Flash Fiction Friday 2023 – Week 32
Flash Fiction Friday continues in 2023. New pieces appear every Friday on my Patreon throughout the year. A Goddess
Melinda Evans was a shy woman. Too shy, in fact. She never spoke to anyone unless spoken to first, and had an incredibly soft voice most people had trouble listening to or downright ignored. She was always the lonely person standing in the corner of a crowded room with a glass of wine in her hand and the more she drank the less inclined to socially engage she became unlike what usually happens to people with too much alcohol in their bloodstream. She was a peculiar person through and through, and one not at all interested in changing her ways. Her friends had a different opinion, though.
It was a concerted effort. Danielle called her to go shopping one Saturday morning, they ran into Trudy at the mall, and then Trudy introduced her to Dr. Rita Fawkes, her therapist who, coincidentally, was there as well. With a decade of experience treating people with social dysfunctions of various orders, she was able to, in a perfectly laid-back fashion, convince Melinda to go see her the following week something which, surprisingly, she did.
Against all odds, Melinda felt at ease with the older woman from the start, opening up in ways not even the professional counselor expected on their first session. She was far from being the cocooned young woman her friends talked about but wasn’t a full-on extrovert either. Still, it was a good start for what Rita hoped would be a positive experience for both.

To Be a Man
Letitia stared at the mirror and gasped in disbelief. The reflection looking back at her was that of a middle-aged bearded man and not her own.
“What the fuck?” she muttered. “What the hell is going on?”
“Do you like it?” Carmen’s voice echoed from outside the bathroom, a hint of mischievousness present in every syllable. The young Latina was known around campus for playing tricks on anyone she knew but this was something unlike anything she had done before.
“I don’t understand,” Letitia peeked outside to talk to her. “What is this?”
“This is exactly what you and I talked about. I changed you, and you’re welcome.”
“Changed me?” Letitia glanced at the mirror again, the man’s confused smile mimicking her own. Her thoughts were in disarray and it felt like her head was about to explode. Was she drunk or was this one of those weird dreams that often plagued her head in the middle of the night?”

Victoria’s Surprise
Frank was running late for work. Again. It was the third time that week alone, the tenth in the whole month, and it was all Victoria’s fault. Well, not all of it, but it was easier to say so than to justify his own shortcomings in the matter.
Victoria was a nymphomaniac. She needed sex as much as she needed breathing and simply couldn’t get enough of it. It was his job to keep up with her desires or risk being replaced by someone younger and more energetic. She was also a skilled hypnotist, something she had learned from her mother Janice and aunt Claire who used to run a traveling show back in their youth. When the two pleasures combined, it was always a treat for both.
His girlfriend loved putting him into a trance right before sex to keep him more active and engaged than normal. Whispered suggestions also included the will to try out new positions and roleplay scenarios regularly as well as overcoming any resistance to certain things he could consider humiliating. Boundaries were always reaffirmed before every play session but she was always pushing them no matter what. Saying no to her was extremely difficult if not downright impossible at times.
