Finally Over
It had taken a long time, but Aidan was finally over Olive.
“Are you sure?” his girlfriend asked.
“Yes. I don’t even remember her face anymore. Thank you.”
“My pleasure. You’re a wonderful hypnotic subject.” Olive continued to reshape his mind. The less he knew the better. He would never be free from her control.
How this story came to be
Memory is a funny thing. Sometimes, we remember things long buried all of a sudden; sometimes, we can’t forget certain experiences no matter what, and sometimes, we get confused trying to remember certain details and creating countless new variations of things that happened… or not.
I had a lot of things come to my mind, including vague recollections of events that took place decades ago. I decided to write something about memories because of it, but I did create an evil brainwashing plot around the main concept. Enjoy.
