“Well, this is awkward,” Paul said.
“It’s not that big of a deal,” Dina replied.
“I should have realized there was something different about you from the start. I don’t know how my perception failed me there.”
“Mine failed too so we’re on the same boat.”
“Now what? I still want to have fun with you.”
“And we can do that. However, there are some conditions which are not open for debate.”
“Which are…?”
“I’m always in charge. I never sub. Never! Also, I get to poke inside your mind whenever I please. I promise not to mess up anything important there, but my playground must always be available to me. Do you agree?”
“Will you be gentle with me?”
“Sometimes. I don’t bite all the time, dear.”
“Me neither.”
The werewolf and the vampire shared a complicit laughter and left the restaurant, holding hands. It was the beginning of a beautiful (and bloody) relationship.
