Anything to Survive

Dylan led the Enforcers of the New Amazonian Movement across the tunnels underneath New Orleans. The deal was simple: as long as he ratted out his fellow men, his mind would remain intact.
He walked slowly, hammered by guilt. “Anything to survive,” he thought. The dark-clad elite soldiers trailed behind him, ready to have fun.

How this story came to be

I’ve told you about my ideas for post-apocalyptic hypnotic stories before. One involves a war between hypnodommes that goes terribly wrong and the other deals with the aftermath of the New Amazonian Movement taking over the world. One day, I’ll write one of them for real. Until then, I play with snippets now and then as well as an occasional flash fiction piece. My short story Not a Dud is kind of a prelude to that.
