The conversation in the park was lively.
“Nice to see someone else picking up their pet’s trash,” Cammie noted.
“It’s a civic duty… nothing to it,” Angela replied.
“Many people don’t feel the same way.”
“I’m unlike most people.”
“I can tell. He’s lovely.” Cammie looked down.
“Thank you.”
“Never had one of those. Was he a hassle to train?”
“No, but I had help,” Angela produced a card with an engraved spiral. “This Institute is the best. If you want one, they’ll hook you up.”
“Tempting, but not my thing.”
“I used to think like that, too. Give it a go. The service is cheap and you won’t regret it.”
“Okay, thanks.”
“You’re welcome.”
Angela said her goodbyes and dragged her hypnotized boyfriend back to her place.
