You’re Late
“You’re late, Matt!” Hannah grumbled.
“No, I’m not!” He defended himself.
“You were supposed to come home two hours ago.”
“Seriously? It’s not even midnight!”
“Check your watch then.”
He did. The hands spiraled as his mind grew hazy. She was right. She was always right.
“I’m late,” he admitted.
“Trigger implantation successful,” she thought.
