You Don’t Remember
“Where am I?” Brandon asked.
“Glad you woke up, hubby,” a beautiful redhead whispered. “You had me worried for a second.”
“Hubby?” he muttered, confused.
“You don’t remember? Poor thing! I guess you hit your head too hard but I’ll take care of you.”
A syringe pierced the back of his neck. The kidnapper smiled.
How this story came to be
This day will go down in history as the day I almost died. I fell during my lunch break and hit my head on the floor. I was knocked out for about two minutes and got myself a mild concussion and some swelling because of it. No fracture, thankfully, though the headaches that followed were pretty horrible The way I fell helped. Had the impact been harder, I could have cracked my skull or broken my neck.
You’re probably wondering why I’m talking about this in the past. Well, because this explanation is being written four and a half days after the fact. I was under doctor’s orders to rest, so I didn’t update the site as I should have. Truth be told, I was also in pain and confused. Forcing myself to write instead of taking care of myself would have only made things worse.
Anyway, I wrote this inspired by that fall but luckily I wasn’t kidnapped by an evil vixen, or was I and she’s making me write this to distract you? Who knows, really? Head still hurts a bit though.
