Why I Called You
“Alexandra?”
“Yes, General?”
“It seems we’ve been having a lot of these conversations lately.”
“Really? I hadn’t noticed…” she smiled.
“Right… I have a problem, though.”
“Which is?”
“I don’t remember why I called you here, today.”
“To give me the next month off, of course. Thank you.”
The General sighed as she walked away.
How this story came to be
A little bit of self-referential humor seeing it’s true I’ve been writing a lot of Alexandra Ryder shorties lately. I thought it would be fun to play with that within the confines of a story and, as usual, she uses hypnosis, perception, and confusion to get her way. Would you like to be played by her?
