Well Rested
Quincy opened his eyes to find Jessica looking down at him.
“Hi. Did you get all the rest you needed?” she asked.
“I think so.”
“And are you wide awake now?”
“Yes. Why are you asking me this?”
“Because I want my slave back.”
She touched his forehead, and he melted back into a trance.
How this story came to be
I know it sometimes seems that way, but my energy levels aren’t infinite. After yesterday’s busy day, I knew my body was telling me to unwind a bit, and that’s what I did for the majority of today. I relaxed, got some reading done, played with my pets, and recovered my strength the best way I could. The brain said “thank you”, and I was happy to oblige.
Seeing I took the day to rest, it felt appropriate to write something about resting too, and this is what came to me. What do you think?
