Demons were abandoning their human hosts and running back to Hell. In all his years as a hunter, Jarod had never seen anything like it.
“Are they all that afraid of me?” he mumbled.
“You wish…” said a purple-eyed woman. “You’re just a man. I’m their worst nightmare.”
“And you are…?”
“Hello. Phoebe Reynolds, Hypnodomme.”
How this story came to be
A while back, I had this crazy idea for a story that involved a demon hunter and a hypnodomme teaming up to face a powerful supernatural enemy. It never made it past the concept stage because I didn’t know how to approach it. I still don’t, but I think about it from time to time. I wrote this piece while I was trying to make sense of it.
