The Overladies
The Overladies promised everlasting peace to all earthlings in exchange for an implant on the back of their neck.
“So they want to enslave us,” Rupert concluded.
“Enslavement is pleasure,” his wife, Jane, cooed.
“Fuck! You tried it on yourself?”
“And I’ve never been happier. They are calling.”
Rupert screamed as she grabbed his neck.
How this story came to be
Today, I wanted to go for a sci-fi vibe and alien implants have always been used for mind-control scenarios so it was a good starting point. The idea evolved naturally from there though I had to do a lot of trimming on this one as the original draft had an extra twenty words than those allowed in this challenge. Luckily, I was able to adjust the text while still retaining the original idea otherwise I would have had to write something else.
