“Alexandra?”
“Yes, General?”
“Weren’t you supposed to be at the Mexican Ambassador’s party tonight?”
“That’s where I am, Sir. I’m wearing a red dress.”
“No. That’s Colonel Gibbons in heels and a wig.”
“That’s not what he believes in…” she smirked. “Enjoy the weekend, General. I sure will.”
He hung up the phone and sighed.
How this story came to be
You missed Alexandra, didn’t you? Sometimes, I do, because writing these shorties with her is always fun. I wasn’t thinking of anything in particular when I came up with this one, except the idea of an hypnotic excuse. Suggestible minds always do as they’re told and no one is really immune to her charms, right?
