Synchronized
The synchronization was complete. June removed Samuel’s helmet and said,
“Done.”
“Are you sure? I don’t feel any different,” he muttered.”
“How about now?” Her sultry voice echoed inside his head.
“Oh… this is trippy!”
“You haven’t seen anything yet,” she smiled.
He felt the strings in his arms as the puppeteer began to play.
How this story came to be
Some people have a helmet fetish. I’m not one of them. Others are infatuated with technological means of mind control. When you put the two of them together, you get helmets that change the way we think, synchronize brainwaves, or even enslave us completely. I played with all these ideas in this little late-night impromptu. What did you think?
