Strawberries
Tamara ate another strawberry. It was delicious.
“Do you really like them?” Katherine asked.
“They’re fucking amazing,” Tamara replied.
“I’m glad.”
“How are they so tasty? What’s your secret?”
“Hypnotic suggestions…” Katherine chuckled.
“Huh?”
“You’re holding a pocket of air, sweetie.”
Tamara stared blankly at her empty hands, the sweet taste still on her lips.
How this story came to be
Do you like strawberries? I do. I don’t eat them that many times but they’re usually tasty. I like pretty much every fruit that ends in berries, to be honest. Today, I had strawberries for the first time this year and this piece came to me while I was enjoying them. Sweet source of inspiration, don’t you agree?
