Thomas climbed the black staircase leading to his apartment. Every step was occupied by a friend, a family member, or a co-worker, kneeling in ecstatic devotion. Every step but one.
Paula stood by the door, smiling. She had kept her promise. Now, it was his turn.
“I’m yours,” he declared, sinking into her hypnotic eyes.
How this story came to be
This piece was inspired by the following concept: imagine a bet between a man a female hypnotist in which he says there’s no way he can enslave all the people he cares about in a short amount of time. She accepts the bet and proves him wrong by displaying them as described in the piece. What do you think? Hot or hot?
