“Are you sure this is a microwave?” Jack asked. “It looks so…”
“Sophisticated?” Erica smirked. “That’s because it is. It even has a program to fry minds.”
“You’re pulling my leg!”
“You’re right, I am. That’s what hypnosis is for.”
She snapped her fingers, and his thoughts melted away. Kitchen work called, and he answered.
How this story came to be
You may recall that a few days ago, I said I woke up to a busted microwave. Yeah, repairing it would have costed almost as much as getting a new one, so I bought one instead. It wasn’t an expense I planned on having this month, but it had to be done. The new appliance is bit more sophisticated than the old one, so it’ll take a while to get to know all the programs and functions. It includes no hypnotic modes though perhaps it should. This piece was written just for the fun of it.
