Adrian stood up and headed for the door.
“What are you doing?” June asked.
“I’m leaving. I don’t want to argue,” he replied. “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”
“I don’t think so…” she snapped her fingers. “At my feet!”
Blank-eyed, her thrall obeyed, happy to be used.
“Hypnotic games are never stupid,” she concluded.
How this story came to be
I don’t know. I wasn’t thinking about anything in particular when I wrote it. It just popped in my head and I thought it was a fun little thing even if I don’t fully agree with the way things play out. I don’t like to get into arguments but I also don’t like playing stupid games either. Honesty and understanding is key. That’s what matters. The rest is just fiction.
