“This game is amazing!” Rick said, wireless controller in hand. “Can you imagine if people could be painted over for real?”
“Oh, I can do that,” she dangled a pocket watch in her right hand. “I just use hypnosis. Interested?”
“I’m playing right now.”
“Play with me instead, pet.”
She didn’t have to ask twice.
How this story came to be
My birthday was almost two weeks ago. I didn’t get any gifts nor did I buy anything for myself. If I had the chance to do so, there were two things I wouldn’t have mind having.
One was a Switch 2, obviously. You know, Nintendo games are my jam, especially The Legend of Zelda series. The other was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I love everything about that game, but I don’t have a PlayStation 5, and my laptop can’t run the game, so I can’t get it on Steam or Game Pass either. Maybe one day, I’ll get the chance to play it, but I’m not counting on it, to be honest.
Anyway, I’ve watched some parts of it online and listened to the entire soundtrack at least two times since the game was released. The music is fucking phenomenal and deserves all the accolades imaginable. I mean, listen to this!
Gorgeous, right? This piece of micro-fiction was inspired by one of the plot points of the game. I’m not saying anything other than that, but if you know, you know. Sandfall Interactive, you did great!
