Older Sister

Barry’s older sister lounged on his sofa. She had asked to stay with him for a while following a nasty divorce and didn’t seem interested in ever leaving. Whenever he tried to talk to her about it, she simply whispered the word “forget”.
And so he did. He even forgot he didn’t have a sister.

How this story came to be

Random late-night impromptu. I had another pretty busy day today and I wasn’t sure about what I was going to write. This exercise on hypnotic confusion came to mind a few minutes ago. I don’t have an older sister either so who is the strange woman in my bedroom right now? (just kidding)
