I Tell You Many Things…
“It’s finally October…” Cordelia mused.
“So?” Harold asked.
“My birthday is in October.”
“You said January last time. And June before that. And…”
“Stop!” she interrupted him. “I tell you many things while you’re under. You’re the one that believes everything.”
“Not true.”
“My birthday is today…”
“Fuck!” He rushed to buy her a present.
Just me being silly again. I mean, after the exceedingly cruel and dark piece I posted here yesterday, I had to go for something lighthearted and leave the possible eeriness for my Spell… H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N special event.
So yeah, this came to me just by looking at the calendar. It’s true, October is here, the 10th month in the 2019 55 words challenge, the 46th consecutive one since I started doing this. Just how far do you think I can go? You’ll need to keep coming back for more to find out. It’s certainly not my birthday today, but that would be a wonderful gift nonetheless.
Civic Duty
“May I help you?” the latex-clad guard asked.
“I found this male in an alley…” Nadine pointed at a naked man.
“I see. Serial number?”
“Unknown. It was scrapped. It appears self-inflicted.”
“Failed brainwashing, most likely. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.”
“Just fulfilling my civic duty…” Nadine smiled before heading her way.
Many people like to be “branded” in some way. I’m not one of them as I’m not fond of tattoos not even temporary ones.
This piece was inspired by a real thing, one that is quite common. I saw a man branded with a serial number. The funny thing was he was being led by a young woman almost as if she was saying “look at this new toy I bought…”
After seeing that, I started thinking about a dystopian future where women ruled and all men had to be brainwashed and branded to serve them. When something went awry, they need to be collected and trained once more. This is but a snippet of that possible fantasy world. I hope you liked it.
Basic Math
“Let’s try this again,” Emily said. “How much is six times three?”
“Zero,” Patrick replied.
“Five minus two?” She laughed.
“Zero.”
“Eight plus six?”
“Zero.”
“Oh my, you must be really in a trance if you’ve forgotten how to do basic math. What’s on your mind?”
“Zero will, zero worries, zero resistance,” he drooled.
“Bingo!”
Yes, in case you weren’t aware of it, IQ reduction is a thing in hypno-play, making people feel dumb or dumber than they are for a short spell. Taken to the extreme can give birth to bimbofication fantasies for instance.
It’s another one of those things I don’t like but I like writing and if inspiration wants me to write about this then I do it and that’s it, really.
Distracting
“As you can see, our profits are… Hmmm, Mr. Reynolds, are you even listening to me?” Chloe frowned.
“Sorry…” he mumbled. “That spiral chart is so distracting.”
“How distracting?”
“Well…” His cock sprang to attention.
“Excellent!” She grinned.
Chloe got a raise, a new car, and an obedient slave before the end of the meeting.
Spiral plots also known as Time Series Spirals are special graphs that present time-based data along an Archimedean spiral. The graph begins at the center of a spiral and then progresses outwards. They’re ideal for large data sets, usually to show trends over a large time period.
I really like the way they look and think they could turn any boring work meeting into an hypnotic one if used correctly. I wrote this piece thinking of that. Don’t look at the graph for too long or else…
