Salt and Hypnosis

“So…?” Janice asked.
“Not enough salt,” Bob replied.
“You always complain about my food.”
“Not my fault you never learn.”
“Cook yourself then!”
“Nope.”
“This plate says otherwise…”
It was shiny, beautiful. Its reflections urged him to fix her a scrumptious meal and move on to dessert.
She only had one complaint.
Not enough tongue.

Hello. I hope you’ve been enjoying your Sunday. I know I have. Today’s short story is brought to you by yours truly and SoVeryBlissful. Allow me to explain why that is. A couple of days, I posted this on Twitter:

I didn’t get a reply then, but I did today and seeing creative me loves a challenge, I went for it. The word chosen was “salt.” Thank you for the inspiration.

Discontinued

“How are you feeling?” Samantha inquired.
“Better, thank you,” James replied, a smile on his face.
“You understand now why things happened the way they did, don’t you?”
“Yes. I was broken, obsessed…”
“… and that’s no fun at all, is it?”
“No.”
“Want to do something fun now?”
“Absolutely.”
“Let’s go for a walk then.”

First and foremost, I write fiction but, every now and then, some of my ideas are more grounded and speak of real possibilities. The fetish worlds can be addictive. Those that indulge in hypnotic femdom, brainwashing and mind control know this quite well. It’s all for entertainment purposes but the human mind is a frail and complex tapestry and things can get unraveled in many ways, not all of them healthy. Dominance and submission involve pushing limits. Knowing when to stop is equally important. Life goes on beyond the thrill of mindfuckery.

The Bridge

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there,” Carmen said.
David nodded. That’s not what he wanted to hear but he accepted it. Eyes on the road, he continued driving.
An hour later, he saw it, bathed in neon, the shapes drawing him in as she drained his thoughts.
Entering oblivion never felt so good.

Last weekend, I spent some time looking at some pictures, taking notice of things like colors, shapes, the emotions they conveyed. Just like quotes, they’re a wonderful source of inspiration, even if they evoke entirely different things in the end. Today, I revisited one of those pictures to write the challenge entry namely the one below.

Bridge

I particularly enjoy the dreamy effect of the composition which feels more than appropriate for the themes I explore in these. Yesterday’s reflection was more pragmatic but this one, despite what might appear at first, goes back to the fantastic nature of it all. The bridge is a metaphor for trance. It’s also a deepener. What exactly happens during the traversal and after is something best left to your imagination.

Party Animal

“Please, come with me to the party,” Mel begged.
“No,” Derek replied.
“No hypnosis, promise.”
“I stopped believing you the third time you made me bark in front of all your friends.”
“You prefer to do it just for me then?”
“That’s not what I… woof, woof!”
“Good boy,” she patted him on the head.

Someone who enjoys parties to no end is commonly known as a party animal, right? Well, today I decided to take the meaning of this expression quite literally with a bit of humor added to the mix.
