Mistress Muse

Muse Talk XI

“How was your Halloween?”
“Quite magical.”
“As it should but you need to give me more than that.”
“I had my writer work overtime. He copied a spell one thousand times in front of a mirror for me.”
“Oh? And what spell was that?”
“Ym ssertsiM tsum eb deyebo.”
“Ythguan sa syawla.”
“Ytliug sa degrahc.”

Behold, the return of the usual suspects in another fun romp. The reverse lines near should be easy to understand but here goes the proper spelling anyway:

“My Mistress must be obeyed.”
“Naughty as always.”
“Guilty as charged.”

A Man’s Screen

It spins round and round, growing, decaying, burning dreams amidst the blackness. In frenzy, it shouts and kicks, it growls and bites but, with the right words, it’s easily tamed, subdued, sent to drift within a pool of submissive bliss.
For a man’s world is nothing but mind and the mind…
… bows down to women.

Another one of my quasi-poetic takes. Every now and then, I like to indulge in them, because they provide a different kind of structure and outlet for the chaos of my thoughts.

Likes and Dislikes

“Why do you keep ignoring me?” Walter asked.
“Because you like it,” Vanessa responded.
“No, I don’t.”
“Are you sure? Just like you don’t like pegging either?” she sniggered, strap-on in hand, swinging back and forth.
“I…” his vision became blurry.
“What do you really like?”
“Whatever you like.”
“That’s more like it… bend over!”

Being ignored is a turn-on for many folks. I’m not one of them. Pegging is something many find appealing. I’m not one of them. If you’re now wondering why on Earth did I choose to come up with a story based on two things I don’t like, it’s because the idea of a control strong enough to turn dislikes into likes is enticing, even if scary. I have no desire to experience any of these things for real, but I can write about them.

The Fellowship of Slaves

“Take it,” Frodo begged.
“If I do,” Galadriel hummed, “a Queen shall rise! Beautiful and terrible as the dawn! Treacherous as the sea, drowning your thoughts! You’ll love me, and despair!”
“Yes, please!” he replied, exceedingly aroused.
“Okay.”
That night, new rings were given to the remaining members of the Fellowship. Guess where they went.

Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings is a classic of literature whether you like it or not and, by this point, you’re well aware how much I enjoy playing with established scenarios in my own way.   I chose a pivotal scene of temptation from The Fellowship of the Ring in order to do that. Galadriel never actually succumbs to it in the original story but it’s fun to imagine a scenario where that happens, and it certainly fits the overall theme of female dominance of this writing challenge. Sacrifices had to be made regarding her speech to fit the word limit, but I think I managed to summarize it, accordingly and I trust there are no doubts to what kind of rings I’m referring to at the end. If so, know that it’s a word that rhymes with lock…
