“Alexandra?”
“Yes, General?”
“We need to talk about what happened in Sicily.”
“Nothing happened in Sicily.”
“Your report says otherwise.”
“It also says no one remembers a thing. If something is not remembered, it never happened. Like this conversation.”
“Why are you…?”
He blinked, staring at her, sheepishly.
“Like I said, nothing happened.”
He nodded.
How this story came to be
I had a dream involving Alexandra last night. Don’t really remember much of it other that Sicily was involved and sh wreaked hypnotic havor everywhere as usual. When I woke up, I knew I had to write something like that, and so I did. Nothing happened, do you hear? Nothing at all.
