“What are these?” Mark asked as he peeked inside the box Trent had just stolen.
“Dunno, but they’re pretty, right?”
“Where did you get them?”
“That old house by Woodson Lake.”
“The witch’s house? God, no!”
“Relax. Witches aren’t real!”
The two pulsing orbs inside the box said otherwise. Mark and Trent are still frozen.
How this story came to be
Just wanted to do something different this time around, and nothing like a bit of magic to do that. Stealing is wrong, folks. It’s even worse when there are witches involved. Never forget that.
