No matter how much his lawyers tried to convince him, Xavier refused a deal. He had his orders.
“But if you cooperate…”
“I already said no!” he growled.
Mistress needed a scapegoat and she wanted him to suffer. For her hypnotic charms, he would even endure the electric chair.
His wish would be granted soon.
How this story came to be
I told you recently I’ve been thinking about death a lot lately. Not in a harmful way to myself, don’t worry, but simply musing about its nature and the inevitability of it all. We’re all going to die, our bodies weren’t designed to last forever. Sometimes, the most beautiful things in the world are the ones that fade away quicker. It is what it is. Death is inescapable.
I was in one of my silent ruminations when this dark concept came to me involving a man so deeply brainwashed by his Mistress that he would gladly take the fall for her crimes even if that meant paying the ultimate price. It’s quite dark, I know. Still, I enjoyed devising the creepy scenario.
