It’s Always Been There
“When did you get that grandfather’s clock?” Frank asked.
“It’s always been there,” Samantha replied.
“There’s no way!”
“I have the pics to prove it.”
And so, she showed him images from a decade past, where the clock was always present.
“Fuck! How did I miss it?”
“Well, you were always hypnotized….”
They both laughed.
How this story came to be
So… I had a weird experience today. I was about to open the door to my courtyard so my pets could stretch their legs when I noticed a piece of scotch tape on it. Immediately, I started thinking: how long had it been there? For what purpose? etc. I got no answers at all because I don’t remember ever putting it there which made me think how often we overlook simple things all around us.
I wrote this piece because of it with a little hypnotic flair just for fun.
