I Want What You Want

Patrick stared at the crystal chamber. Once he stepped inside, his life would change forever.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Wilhelmina asked.
“Yes. It’s what you want. I want what you want,” he replied.
“Good boy. Go on.”
Patrick nodded, the hypno-pet in him waiting to be unleashed. The chamber started glowing.

How this story came to be

I don’t have any story to tell about this one. I don’t know where the idea came from or why I wrote it the way I did. The words just came to mind, were edited accordingly, and that’s it. Sometimes, another person’s desires are more powerful than our own, and when that happens, there’s nothing left to except surrender.
