I Can Take It

Lucas finished his plate again and asked for more.
“Are you sure?” Eve asked.
“Yes. I can take it,” he replied.
“Good.”
And so he kept eating, sausage after sausage, spicy sauce dripping from his lips.
About an hour later, he awakened from his trance and saw his basketball teammates standing beside him. Evie grinned.
