The surgery had been a success. Trevor sat upright, his eyes glassy. Dr. Evans turned to his girlfriend and said,
“He’s all yours.”
“And he’ll never resist my control?”
“Never. The chip can’t be removed or destroyed. The programming is permanent.”
“Perfect!” she said. A new slave was the best birthday present of them all.
