Foolproof

Greg looked at the men in the tanks and asked,
“They’re all hypnotized?”
“Yes, but it’s more a state of suspended animation than a real trance. It’s foolproof though,” Marjorie replied.
“They’re not aware of what’s happening?”
“Never. They believe the reality we feed them… just like you.”
Suddenly, he saw bubbles before his eyes.

How this story came to be
