It was one box after another. The more presents Jared opened, the more appeared before his eyes.
“You’re fucking my mind again, aren’t you?” he asked.
“When did I ever do that?” Mara asked.
“Every day since we met.”
“And you love it, right?”
“Yeah…” he blushed.
“Keep going then.”
Jared fell deeper and deeper.
How this story came to be
It’s my birthday so writing a piece about a birthday felt appropriate. This one was improvised shortly after dinner but I’m only posting it now because I was busy getting other things done. The end of the week also means the end of my short break so expect the normal schedule to resume tomorrow.
